Sanctity of Life

I support the sanctity of life from conception to natural death, the rights of the unborn child, and oppose abortion based on sex selection, convenience, or as a method of birth control. Adoption should be encouraged and enabled by legislation as an alternative to abortion. I fully support the reversal of the epic U.S. Supreme Court decision of Roe vs. Wade. This would return the authority for such decisions to the people of Idaho.

I have a 100% voting record in support of legislation protecting the pre-born child and have received the endorsement of Idaho Chooses Life, the foremost organization protecting the pre-born child.

I also recognize that even with the advances of medicine there are cases in which the life of the expectant mother can pose impossible decisions, even for the most adamant pro-life parents. I support the decisions of those immediately impacted by these complex situations. I believe in a loving, compassionate and forgiving God. The final decision in these unique cases must protect the sanctity of life. Idaho Law, prior to Roe vs. Wade, did protect the sanctity of life, including the life of the woman.
